  Rev. Dr. Fidelis H. Oppong is a native of Dormana Akwamu, Ghana. He was ordained a priest on July 12, 2008 for the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani, Ghana. He attended Sacred Heart Primary and JSS, Sunyani and St. James Seminary/Secondary School, Abesim. He had his Post Senior Secondary School education at St. Teresa's Minor Seminary, Amisano and had his spiritual formation and philosophical studies at St. Paul's Catholic Seminary, Sowutuom, Accra. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, and Sociology Study (2005) from University of Ghana; Theological Science Certificate (2008) from St. Peter's Regional Seminary, Pedu, Cape Coast; Post Graduate Diploma in Education (2008) from University of Cape Coast; Licentiate in Moral Theology with specialisation in Social Ethics (2015) and Doctorate in Moral Theology with spcialization in Bioethics (2018) from Facolta di Teologia di Lugano, Switzerland.
  He first served as a chaplain and teacher at Sacred Heart Senior High School, Nsoatre in Ghana from 2008-2012. Since 2015 he has served as a summer and winter associate priest at St. Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison, NY and currently at Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Pompeii in Dobbs Ferry.
  He is approachable, pastorally minded, sociable and has a good human relationship. He loves to read, teach, and serve God and people for Theodore Roosevelt once said: "Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care."
