Contributions of any amount will alleviate the cost of religious education for our families facing financial strain. Richard is from Ghana and we are delighted that he is able to assist us here at Sacred Heart-Our Lady of Pompeii Parish for a few weeks. Please be sure to welcome Fr. We are VERY PROUD of this magnificent Steinway 9' Concert Grand Piano which will enhance our Music Program for many decades to come! As far as we know NO church anywhere in the area has an instrument like this which further distinguishes our parish in EXCELLENCE IN ALL THINGS! We anticipate having a concert of dedication in September and we will let everyone know the exact date as soon as it is set.
Soon we will be resuming our Adult Choir and beginning our Children’s Choir. Any members of the parish who have been part of our Adult Choir over the years or who would be interested in joining the choir are asked to please contact Dr. Sándor Szabó at the Parish Office as soon as possible so he can be in touch with you to let you know about an important meeting that will be scheduled soon and also to begin to plan for the Installation of Father Chris on June 10th.

Auxiliary Bishop Gerardo Colacicco leads the blessing of a new bell carillon in the sacristy of Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry, March 28. The carillon was donated by Gilda Fata in memory of her late husband, Edward, a musician who was an important member of the parish music ministry for many years.

It is with tremendous sadness and shock that the Seminary community shares the news of the sudden passing of our academic dean and professor, Fr. Kevin O'Reilly. From the Office of the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of New York, "It is with sadness, but deep faith in the Lord's resurrection that I announce to you the sudden and unexpected death of Father Kevin O'Reilly, 51, Academic Dean and Professor of Dogmatic Theology, St. Joseph's Seminary. Born November 23, 1969, Ordained Priest May 11, 1996, Entered Eternal Life February 1, 2021."
